Meet Coach Zhanna Petrosyan

With over 20 years of teaching experience, Coach Zhanna Petrosyan has dedicated her life to helping young dancers and gymnasts reach their fullest potential. Her journey has taken her through countless competitions — including KAR, Spotlight, Star System, Emerald Ball, San Diego Open, and many more — where she and her students have earned numerous first-place state and national titles.

Zhanna has been honored with countless awards for performance and choreography, as well as recognition for her outstanding teaching and coaching excellence. Her approach goes beyond technique — she teaches with passion, heart, and vision, seeing strengths and potential in her students that others might miss. She celebrates every victory, big or small, and guides her dancers to become confident, disciplined, and successful — not only in gymnastics and dance, but in life.

Zhanna was also the co-founder of Krounk Dance Studio, which she established in 2002 alongside her mother, Susanna Harutyunyan. Located in Glendale, Krounk Dance Studio proudly served the community for 20 years, building generations of dancers and athletes before being forced to close its doors during COVID-19.

Now, with a renewed vision and passion, Studio Z marks the exciting second breath of Krounk Dance Studio. Located in Tujunga, California, Studio Z carries forward the same excellence, creativity, and community spirit that defined Krounk — but with a fresh energy and modern approach.

At Studio Z, dancers and gymnasts of all ages can grow, express themselves, and discover their potential in a supportive, inspiring environment. From high-energy dance classes to skill-building acro and gymnastics programs, Studio Z offers something for everyone — whether you’re stepping onto the floor for the first time or training to compete.
